2009 Miss Wadena crowned
Cassondra Behl was crowned the 2009 Miss Wadena Sunday night after winning the talent and evening gown competitions. Behl entertained the audience with a performance of the "Evolution of Dance" as originally performed by Judson Laipply.
Behl will receive a $1,000 scholarship for winning the pageant and will represent Wadena at parades, festivals and other events throughout the year.
The title of First Princess was awarded to Kristen Rokenbrodt who won the interview portion of the competition. Second Princess was awarded to Mary McGrane who performed a modern dance to "You and Me," by Lifehouse.
Other winners at Sunday night's big event included Emily Ament as Miss Congeniality and the Ambassador Award went to Brittany Ronneberg.
