10-week entrepreneurship course planned in Wadena, DL, Park Rapids
A 10-week course to introduce attendees to entrepreneurship will be held in three communities, including Wadena.
This FastTrac Planning the Entrepreneurial Venture curriculum is designed to guide participants through the steps of business planning, developing entrepreneur skills and building a business on a strong foundation.
According to organizers, the course is suitable for beginners wanting to start a business as well as those who have been in business less than five years.
Facilitated by entrepreneurs, they create an environment that encourages participants to interact, gain insight from their experiences and establish relationships that will last.
Courses will be in Wadena on Mondays from Feb. 1 through April 15 from 6-9 p.m. each night. Detroit Lakes and Park Rapids courses will be Thursday nights from 6-9 p.m. from Feb. 11 to April 15.
It is a non-credited course, but a certificate will be presented upon completion. There is a cost for the class and for materials. Full-tuition scholarships are available for 50-year-old and older qualified participants.
