The 116th annual Wadena County Fair opened Thursday with 4-H events, inflatable games and lots of fair fun. Rainy skies early in the afternoon turned into beautiful, sunny weather. No events were canceled due to the rain, Ag Society President Jeff Nardello said. One event was switched to tonight, however. The Friend of the Fair award will be handed out just prior to the No Fear Thrill Show at 7 p.m. Attendance was good the first day, Nardello said.
