Verdict: Jury finds St. Marie guilty on all counts

Verndale putting on 'Tom Sawyer'

Verndale Community Education and Prairie Fire Children's Theatre invite everyone to participate in this year's Summer Theatre production of "Tom Sawyer." Everyone ages 7 through adult are welcome.

"Auditions" will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, July 20 with rehearsals from 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. Performances will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 24 and Saturday, July 25.

Spectators are welcome. All Summer Theatre activities will be located in the Verndale School Auditorium.

The directors

Andrew McGreevy will entertain audiences performing the role of the The Rightful King of France in "Tom Sawyer."

McGreevy comes to us from Omaha, Neb., where he is the artistic director and founder of Skullduggery Theatre. Originally from Park Ridge, N.J., McGreevy earned a bachelor's degree in acting and directing from the University of Nebraska in Omaha. He is no stranger to Prairie Fire, having toured in 2007 and 2008.

Stephanie Bright will entertain audiences performing the role of the Aunt Polly.

Bright comes from St. Paul, where she has been working as a teacher for "Climb." Originally from Vernon, Conn., she earned a bachelor's degree in music theater from Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, Va.
