New Minnesota writers featured at Green Island Sunday
Lina Belar held a book launch at Green Island this past weekend to celebrate her first book of poetry, "Rural Score," published by Finishing Line Press. Joining her in the celebration was singer-songwriter, Elisa Korenne, whose memoir, "Hundred Miles To Nowhere" was recently released by North Star Press. The two former New York City dwellers share a common theme: they came to Minnesota, fell in love and stayed. Read more about them and look for their upcoming events at www.LinaBelar.com and www.ElisaKorenne.com.
Green Island is a 60 acre remnant of family farm enclosed within the city limits of Wadena. Elements of Green Island are open to the public including a restful Picnic Area, a Sculpture Walk, a Meditation Hut and a Poetry Walk, currently featuring Belar's poetry.
