Foundation director joins Lakewood Health System

Lakewood Health System welcomed Heidi Chapman as the new foundation director. Chapman joined Lakewood Health System in early April.

Chapman comes to Lakewood Health System from the United Way of Crow Wing and Southern Cass counties where she served as executive director for 10 years. Chapman will be responsible for raising funds to use for community health initiatives from a variety of sources. She will also spend much of her time planning event and projects such as the Annual Dinner Auction, Helmets Worth Wearing, Bids for Kids, Seasons of Lights, and Serenity Sanctuary -- a memorial garden created at Lakewood Health System for community members to remember, reflect and celebrate. Chapman's experience in a foundation setting will bring excellent direction in planning new community-benefitting programs to carry out the foundation's mission.

The mission of the Lakewood Health System Foundation is to provide the opportunity to preserve and enhance health and wellness for the communities it serves by encouraging the support of the Foundation through charitable gifts.

Upcoming Foundation events include Hats Off to Giving, a dinner auction on April 30 and Helmets Worth Wearing, May 8-14. To learn more about these events or other Foundation initiatives, contact Chapman at (218) 894-8503 or
