Tri-County Health Care hosts sixth annual Block Party
As a way to give back to the community, Tri-County Health Care invites the public to attend its sixth annual Summer Block Party on Tuesday, July 18, from 4 to 7 p.m. on the TCHC Wesley Lawn.
This family event is free and open to all ages. Attractions include food, entertainment, kids' games, bounce houses, face painting, caricatures and more.
New this year, a dunk tank will give attendees an opportunity to purchases chances (balls) to submerge TCHC providers and members of administration. All money raised will benefit the American Cancer Society Relay for Life being held in August.
Kids are also invited to bring their helmets and bikes for a bike rodeo from 4 to 7 p.m. It will include free helmet fittings and hands-on bike riding activities to teach and promote bike safety. Prize drawings for bike accessories will be held throughout the event, and free helmets will be given to participants who need them, while supplies last. The bike rodeo is sponsored by the Wadena Lions Club, Wadena County Public Health and Statewide Health Improvement Partnership.
During the block party, representatives from Superstation K106 and KWAD/KNSP will conduct a live, on-site broadcast of the festivities.
"This is a great way for us to give back and say thank you for entrusting us with the care of you and your family," TCHC President/CEO Joel Beiswenger said. "It's always a good time, so we hope to see you there!"
